Code For Sustainable Homes
The UK Government laid the foundations for greener housing when it launched the Code for Sustainable Homes in 2006. The Code uses a 1 to 6 star rating system to communicate the overall sustainability performance of a new home. The Code is currently voluntary for privately built housing however many of the Local authorities throughout the UK are approving new homes conditional on their design & construction achieving a minimum of Code Level of 3 or 4.
At Paul Bancroft Architects we decided to meet these needs by training our staff as a Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor.
We are licensed assessors for the Code for Sustainable Homes.
We can advise on design solutions to achieve Code compliance and carry out assessment of projects.
